A CELEBRATION OF FLAVOR
An evening of good taste and curation by Foode, EatOkra and Chef Ed Porter
The event hosted by Foode and Eat Oakra at Sessions Atlanta was a night to remember. Celebrating the birthday of Chef Ed Porter and the release of his album "De Zero," this thoughtfully curated event brought together a mix of incredible elements for a truly unforgettable evening.
The event was expertly organized by Foode and Eat Oakra, with special thanks to Ken Clay and Sarah Perkins from Foode for their outstanding efforts. The music, skillfully curated by Dj Dime, kept the vibe going all night. The open bar by Spirit and Soul ATL offered a variety of delicious and flavorful cocktails. Special thanks to New Belgium Brewing for their sponsorship. Food and desserts were a highlight of the evening, with standout dishes from ZaZa’s Kitchen and Sammy & Izzy’s Sweets. The menu was as follows:
Skewered Brussel Sprouts + Calabrian Chili
and Orange Jam
Antipasto Skewers- Artichoke Hearts +
Eggplant Bruschetta- Charred Tomato and
Roast Beef Crostini- Canelleni Bean Puree +
Rosemary Oil + Grapefruit and Cranberry
Maple Roasted Duck Crostini- Maple Spiced
Cheesecake
The duck and eggplant dishes were particularly memorable and left guests wanting more. Everything on the menu was excellent.
The attentive wait staff, from valet to servers, went above and beyond to ensure everyone's comfort. They delivered everything from food and drinks to cigars and desserts with exceptional service. A special shoutout to Edward from Mica’s Catering for his outstanding service.
The event was not only a feast for the senses but also an excellent opportunity for networking. Guests had the chance to connect, share, and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. Overall, this event was a perfect evening, expertly hosted, and thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees. We look forward to attending another Chef Ed Porter, Foode, and Eat Oakra event in the future. Special thanks to Willie V Spirits for the invitation and good company, my best friend Indira Aiku for being an excellent date, and Trill Bastro for capturing the memorable moments.
