Another major component of the event was the introduction of a new tech lab, established through Redd’s collaboration with College Park Councilwoman Jamelle McKenzie from One Ward 1. Instead of distributing individual computers, Redd and McKenzie funded the creation of a dedicated tech space equipped with laptops and cameras. This lab aims to provide students with essential resources for learning and developing skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.), helping to close the technological gap and enhance educational opportunities.

The event was filmed for national television, ensuring that Redd's contributions and the tech lab’s impact will be showcased to a broader audience. This coverage highlights the importance of community support and the transformative potential of such educational initiatives.
