Apparently Trey Songz is taking his intentional similarities to R. Kelly passed flattery and right into court. “The Town Crier” is being sued by 2 women for sexual assault and battery. The supposed victims allege they were forced into non consensual sex with Tremaine Nerverson in 2015 after a birthday party at his house in LA. The women say they met Trey in June of the same year and after ongoing communication they were invited to his birthday party that August.
I've reviewed details of their experience and are relaying them as follows. They were required to give a password to enter the event, upon entry their phones were taken from them and locked in a safe where they would stay until they were leaving the premises. They were pressured to have drinks that were being poured from unlabeled bottles and soon found themselves more intoxicated than they should have been considering the amount of liquor they were knowingly consuming. In hindsight women believed they were drugged. After falling asleep on the couch they were awakened to follow Trey upstairs to his room where they fell asleep fully clothed. When they woke up they were naked and being grouped, bitten and assaulted by Trey.
Following the incident they were asked by Trey to shower with him. Upon their refusal Trey replied, get the fuck outta my house yall some little girls. He also refused to returned their phones. It wasn't until a security guard intervened and retrieved their phones that they were able to call an uber and remove themselves from the house. Keep in mind this is all he said she said as of right now. If only these were the first defaming declarations Trey has experienced but sadly they are not.
In March 2018 Trey was arrested for domestic violence during All Star Weekend in LA. The charges were dismissed two months later but he was sued in civil court by the victim in August of the same year. In December 2021 a former University Of Nevada Las Vegas basketball player Dylan Gonzalez tweeted "Trey Songz is a rapist". This was just one month before she would file a sexual assault charge against Trey but the city did not file the chargers based on the nature of the allegation whatever the hell that means.
Yet another woman reported she too was suing Trey for 20 million dollars after being assaulted in his LA home in 2016. The case was dismissed in November of 2022 but was refiled in February of this year. Though I was truly hurt to hear these stories as a fan of Trey Songz, we can't honestly say the girls haven't been whispering about Trey and his ways for years. Not to mention you can hear it in his voice if you listen closely.
Many speed past the fact that certain octaves carry a price when it comes to having the ability to use them. Trey’s similarities to R. Kelly may bear the same cost in his life and have just yet to be revealed. He could be in the process of owning his masters, making a big investment that the industry gatekeepers don't think he's worthy of, or he walked in the wrong room at the wrong time.
Regardless I'm willing to bet if the walls of that LA mansion could talk he would tear them down, as I'm sure they would whisper truths of more than Jupiter Love, while screaming the real reason the neighbors a football field away know his name. He may have rhythm but if he finds himself behind bars he will be singing the blues. Remember Darling, the show must go on and in good fashion.
